Our trip to Clifton Cathedral

We (Class 6) went to Clifton Cathedral for our Leavers Mass. We went on the 16th June and travelled in the coach up to Bristol to get there. We went because all of the Year 6’s from the Catholic schools in the diocese were there celebrating the end of Primary school.

We travelled to the Cathedral with our teacher, class room assistant, some parents and Father John and Izzy. Different priests said different things and told us how to do well in Secondary School by being kind and caring. We sang a lot of songs including ‘Shine on me’ and ‘You have called Us’ to make it more enjoyable. After the service, we went to Western-Super-Mare beach and bought ice-creams. We had time to play a few games on the beach before we needed to go back to school.

I felt that the day had been a real success, the mass being lovely as we were with other people our age. When we were on the beach it was extremely enjoyable because we had the freedom to do what we wanted. It was a fabulous day!
