The Brewhouse

Each Summer Term, Mrs Martin and Class 6 choreograph and prepare a dance/drama to be performed on our local town stage at the Brewhouse Theatre.  In the past the themes have been ‘The Lion King’, ‘West Side Story’ and ‘The Lady of Shalot’. 
This year it was decided to do a dance that was inspired by the musical ‘Bugsy Malone’.  Set in America during the time of prohibition, the dance features ‘flappers’, ‘gangsters’ and ‘boxers’. 
The flappers dance at ‘Fat Sam’s‘, whilst the gangsters prepare the boxers for the big boxing match.  Will everyone stop fighting and eventually get on?

There was much praise for the children’s wonderful efforts and their  performance, and also for the excellent effort the parents put in to making the outstanding outfits and costumes.
