In the glorious sunshine today, we searched to find all The Stations of the Cross around the school.
In Maths we are looking at statistics
using tally and bar charts.
In our guided reading groups we are currently reading 'The Twits'. We read ours inside the Narnia school library today.
As a whole school we were visited by
the Lampedusa Cross today.
Then we made our own crosses and reflected
on the lives that were lost and saved.
We've been using our Author's Corner
to read our pirate stories to the class.
Look who's been caught reading this week
World Book Day
We loved World Book Day.
We turned the classroom into a Famous Five adventure with a picnic of jam tarts and
lashings of ginger beer.
Today in our RE lesson we acted out the story of
'The Calming of the Storm'
We listened to lots of scientific visitors today; which one would you like to be when you're older?
Following on from the fabulous science Wow last week, we asked the children to try a science experiment at home. They have been asked to come in and explain the experiment to the rest of the Class. This experiment is a home made lava lamp.
We have used apparatus to help us
calculate different times tables.
We are creating our own lego stop frame animation based on The lighthouse keepers Christmas. We will put the finished piece on the website and twitter when we have finished.
We have been growing beans as part of our Jack and the Beanstalk topic. They are growing really well! Will any of them reach the sky?
