The Great Fire of London
We designed our own versions of the Great Fire of London monument.
We had a wonderful visit from Somerset Museum.
Florence Nightingale
We have planted vegetables outside our classroom and are watching them grow.  Do you know what they might be?
We love reading!
We are creating our own lego stop frame animation based on The lighthouse keepers Christmas. We will put the finished piece on the website and twitter when we have finished.
We used apparatus to help us calculate different times tables.
In Maths we are looking at statistics using tally and bar charts.
The Calming of the Storm

Today in our RE lesson we acted out the story of
'The Calming of the Storm'
The Stations of the Cross
The Lampedusa Cross
As a whole school we were visited by the Lampedusa Cross today.
Then we made our own crosses and reflected on the lives that were lost and saved.
We have been thinking about
how the Gospel means
'Good News'.
How do we share good news?
What good news do
we like to hear?
Class 2 Trips
We the Curious Trip
We went on a trip to
Vivary Park to see the
War Memorial.
Science WOW day
We listened to lots of scientific visitors today; which one would you like to be when you're older?
Following on from the fabulous science Wow last week, we asked the children to try a science experiment at home. They have been asked to come in and explain the experiment to the rest of the Class. This experiment is a home made lava lamp.
Growing Beanstalks
We have been growing beans as part of our Jack and the Beanstalk topic. They are growing really well! Will any of them reach the sky?
We have been reading a story by Roald Dahl called 'The Minpins'. We have spent a lot of time in the nature area looking at where different animals live.
We made our own Minpin houses.
In our guided reading groups we are currently reading 'The Twits'.  We read ours inside the Narnia school library today.
World Book Day
We loved World Book Day.
We turned the classroom into a Famous Five adventure with a picnic of jam tarts and
lashings of ginger beer.
Beast Quest Club
What a busy time! Avantia maps, creating our own beast names, dragon eyes, making miniature books and a treasure hunt.
Bonkers about Books Club
This week the children
have become super spies!
Bubble dragons and fire making.
