FRIDAY 24TH APRIL 2020

Happy Friday everyone!

Normally at the start of the day, I would be stood by the gate, being asked if I have the ‘Friday Feeling’ by lots of our lovely children. I really hope you are all well and safe and that you all have that ‘Friday Feeling!’

Thank you for the kind and thoughtful comments about our St George’s Day video! A huge thank you to Mrs Crocker and Mrs Price and all the staff for making this happen! It was a lot of fun and a joy to watch.

I hope you all had a good St George’s Day and that you managed to re-create the St George’s Day races!

It has been wonderful to have Zoom meetings with both the teaching staff and support staff. I really appreciate their hard work and commitment in ensuring that the children continue to receive a broad and balanced education and much support.

Monsignor Bernard is in regular contact and has been busy leading a daily Mass and posting them on YouTube. He is delighted that there has been in excess of 6000 people viewing the services during the past month. Monsignor Bernard and Father David are a constant support to us all at the school.

Helen Mac Connell is also in communication with myself most days and has gone above and beyond in her role as Chair of Governors. Helen has been researching Leavers Hoodies and we hope that Imprints will be open again soon so that we can order some for our Year Six children.

We would usually end the day with our Friday Assembly. I would like to wish Nikita, Emily and Kylie a very happy birthday!

Mr Lake has kindly chosen the Friday song to dance along to. Mrs Braund couldn’t believe that I hadn’t heard of this song! I do need to be better with my music knowledge and appreciation! Mr Lake has chosen ‘Defying Gravity’ by the Glee Cast. Just imagine how you and the teachers leave the hall on a Friday and recreate it with your parents and carers.

Wishing you all a happy weekend. The weather is glorious and I hope it stays this way.

Love and best wishes,

Mr Braund
