14th February 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you for your attendance at Parent’s Evening! It was brilliant to see you all there! Wishing you all a happy half-term holidays and hopefully we return to nicer weather!

I asked the question in assembly on Monday ‘What makes you happy?’ I was truly impressed with the response from the children. Answers included, ‘Good manners make me happy’, ‘My friends make me happy’, ‘My family makes me happy’, ‘Acts of kindness make me happy’, ‘A hug from my mum and dad makes me happy’, ‘Seeing other people makes me happy’, ‘A smile makes me happy’. What lovely answers! I was really impressed and really proud of the children.

Washing hands

I spoke with the children about the importance of washing their hands thoroughly. I told them the rule that Sister Mary taught me when I was at St Joseph’s Catholic School in 1978 and that was to sing the Happy Birthday song in my head whilst washing my hands and that is the required time to do this.
