Dear Parents and Carers,

The football team are representing the school in the area finals today! It is wonderful to see the excitement of the children and I know they will enjoy every minute of the occasion and I wish them the very best!

Cold Weather

It certainly has been cold these past few days and I would like to remind parents and carers to make sure you send your child/children in with a coat, hat, scarf and gloves. Please can you also make sure all clothing is named so that we can return any items if they get mislaid.

World Book Day

World Book Day is on Thursday 3rd March 2022. Our theme this year is ‘Bedtime Stories.’ The children will be asked to come to school wearing their pyjamas.

SCA Bid

We are in the process of making a bid to improve playground facilities and to resurface the back playground. We would like the basketball court to be transformed into a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and would like the whole of the back playground to be resurfaced.

School Dinners

Please can I remind all parents and carers to ensure you order any school lunches by Wednesday for the following week.

Swimming Payments

I just wanted to remind parents and carers about the £30 annual charge for swimming lessons that the children have during the school day. This cost enables us to make any necessary repairs and changes to the pool area.

Tea Towels

We have some Tea towels left. The tea towel includes a self-portrait of every child at the school.

School Parking and the One Way System

I have really appreciated comments from parents and also our Chair of Governors on how well our one-way system works at the school and how much it has improved over the years. I just want to say a huge thank you to you all and also our wonderful caretaker. It is really important that everyone continues to follow our policy for drop off and pick up. The one way system works very well. The residents of Nunsfield Court appreciate the procedures we have in place.

When entering our school car park, please can I remind parents and carers to reverse into a space. There have been several occasions where we have had near misses with parents reversing out of spaces.

Finally, can I please remind parents and carers to continue to drive slowly around and on the school premises at all times.

Best Wishes

Mark Braund
