Dear Parents and Carers,

I joined Class Four for their French lesson this morning and I skipped out of the classroom at the end of the lesson! The behaviour for learning was brilliant! As I walk around the school I am constantly observing the education the children experience and it delights me to see their enjoyment and thirst for learning!

Just a reminder that next Friday is a mufti day for children to bring in donations for our school Christmas raffle. This is instead of our Christmas Fayre and we really would appreciate if we can sell as many books as possible to raise much needed funds.

Class 3 – Something sweet

Class 4 – Something savoury

Class 5 – Something for Mums

Christmas Tea Towels

December is fast approaching and we are delighted with the number of orders we have had for our tea towels. We have ordered 400 so it is advised to put your orders in as soon as possible.

Emergency Services Day #UniteTheUniforms - Friday 3rd December 2021

We are honouring those who sadly lost their lives to protect our nation, we are proud to be supporting Emergency Services Day this year, celebrating those who continue to work hard to protect us. We are inviting all of our children (and staff!) to take part in #UniteTheUniforms on Friday 3rd December. This will be a non-uniform day, in which we will be taking part by wearing blue, green, red or orange clothing (the colours of the emergency services) and donating £1, which will go towards making the Emergency Services Cenotaph a reality.

Flu Immunisation

Just a reminder we have the County Immunisation Team visiting on Tuesday 7th December to administer the flu vaccine. Please read the email recently sent by Mrs Gordge and complete the link to consent or not consent to your child/children having the immunisation.

Class Two at Vivary Park

Class Two visited Vivary Park on Wednesday to visit the War Memorial, read prayers they had written about Remembrance Sunday, observe a two minutes silence and feed the ducks. Taunton trumpeter, Luis Martelo joined the children and performed the ‘Last Post’. I walked down with two Governors to join the children for a small part of the visit. We were all so impressed with how they observed the two minutes silence, the reading of prayers and their behaviour in general.

A member of the public observed the children and commented: ‘It does your heart good to see this – thank you!’

Wishing you all a restful weekend.
