30th April 2021

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding in what has been a frustrating week with the traffic in Taunton. The team at Traffic Management in Somerset have been in communication with us these past days and are aware of our concerns.

I have asked if they could put some 10mph signs up along The Mount and around the school. It is something that I feel we should have up permanently as it is crucial that drivers drive slowly in areas where there are many pedestrians.

Are you aware of the doorbell for Breakfast Club and After School Club?

Can I please ask that any parents or carers wanting to drop off in the morning or pick up after school to use the doorbell on the post of the swimming pool playground.

Have you heard about the changes to our school pool?

Thank you for such positive feedback about the re-opening of the school pool. We have new certificates that the children will be aiming to achieve during their time at the school. The certificates start with the aim to achieve the Baby Turtle Level and then Octopus, Clownfish Pufferfish, Seal, Shark, Dolphin and Orca Levels! We look forward to presenting many of these over the coming weeks, months and years!

Mr Chidgey will be recording a video about our plans for the pool and this will be uploaded onto the school website. Below is a sneak preview of our new look pool.

Did you see the key dates for next year?

Just a reminder that Mrs Gordge emailed the calendar dates for the next academic year 2021/22 to you all last week. All our newsletters are posted on our website as well.

Can I politely remind all parents and carers that we cannot authorise holidays unless it is for exceptional circumstances.

Wishing you all a restful Bank Holiday weekend.

Mr Braund
