Dear Parents and Carers,
St George’s Nativity Review – by our St George’s Pupils!
Read on to find out the children’s experience of taking part in the EYFS/KS1 Nativities. What a talented and confident group of children they are! Well done to our wonderful pupils and to their fantastic teachers and teaching assistants, who did an amazing job in making this years’ Nativities so enjoyable.
Alexander (EYFS) – I was a wise man. I liked the Nativity because my line was, ‘Look at that star! We bring gifts for the King.’
Aubrielle (EYFS) – I liked the Nativity because I saw my cutie baby sister. Her name is Janey. I was an angel. I wore a white dress. It was really white.
Olivia (Year 1) – I sang in the Nativity and I was a sheep. Lots of people came to see like mummies and daddies. I think Ethan was great. He sang really nicely.
Benedict (Year 1) – I was a donkey. I liked the singing. My favourite was Prickly Hay. I liked the wise men and I thought Poppy was a good dancer.
Hubert (Year 2) – Last night, I was a shepherd in the nativity. It was exciting. The nativity was about Prickly Hay and Jesus being born. We sang lots of fun songs. My favourite song was Prickly Hay because it was fun and had actions. All the parents came to watch and clapped at the end.
Irene (Year 2) - Last night, we performed in the nativity Prickly Hay. I was a narrator and it was exciting. First we invited the people and we were telling the story of the birth of Jesus. Then, we sang songs, my favourite song was Stable Hoedown. The message was lets all remember how important Jesus’ birth is. We had a big round of applause. Thank you for reading my recount about the Nativity, Irene.
Pippa (Year 2) – This week it was the Key Stage 1 Nativity. It was called Prickly Hay. The nativity is when we act the day Jesus was born. I was an angel I felt excited and a bit scared too because of all the people. First, we started the nativity with Dolapo, Harrison and Zayda playing Sam and the two shrews. We sang catchy songs, my favourite was Stable Hoedown. The important message was that we all need to remember how important we are. There was a big round of applause at the end. The parents loved the nativity. I hope you like the story of what happened at the nativity.
Ema (Year 6) – The greatest Nativity I’ve ever seen and there was such a great effort!
Anya (Year 6) – It was a great Nativity and showed how hard everyone worked.
David (Year 6) – The Nativities sent out great joy!
Daniel (Year 6) – A piece of hardwork with every child sprinkling a full pack of stardust!
