Labelling Uniform

Just a polite reminder for parents and carers to ensure all pupil’s uniform items are clearly labelled. We are noticing a lot of lost property being left lying around the school building and grounds, and items are not named. Please contact the school office or your child’s teacher as soon as possible if you are missing any of your children’s uniform, drinks bottles, coats etc so these can be located, early on.

Donations of Boxes of Tissues for Classrooms

Once again, it’s that time of year when children start to have colds and require lots of tissues! please can we kindly ask parents if it is possible to donate a box of tissues for their child’s classroom. As you can appreciate, this can become very costly to the school to provide so many tissues and your help in donating a box would be very much appreciated.

Harvest Mass

Sunday 19th October – Harvest Family Mass at St George’s Church, 9.15 am

Please join us for our annual Harvest Family Mass this year at St George’s Church on Sunday 19th October at 9.15am. All are welcome. Reading parts have been assigned and the children had a quick rehearsal. Please can parents ensure children continue to practice over the weekend so they can confidently read their part during the Mass.  Readers also need to arrive at Church early, by 9.00am, so we can prepare. We hope you can join us and do remember to bring a tin as your harvest donation!

Amenities/Swimming Contributions

Please can I remind all parents and carers that each year, we ask for a voluntary contribution of

£10 per term per child for swimming, and £10 per term for each family for School Amenities.

The school has always traditionally asked parents and carers for an amenity contribution. The Amenities Fund allows the school to give children extra opportunities and experiences such as visiting artists, performers and sport companies. We feel it is crucial that the children continue to have these WOW moments and with the rising costs of funding school everts and maintaining and running the swimming pool, we would really appreciate your contribution to allow this to continue.

Payments for Swimming and Amenities can be paid online; details are as follows:

Bank Account Number: 02887152 Sort-Code: 30-98-45

Please quote reference S for Swimming and A for Amenities

We’re Delighted to Announce a National Music Recognition!
We are proud to share that our school has been awarded the Music Mark of Recognition for Dedication & Improvement by Somerset Music. This national award celebrates our commitment to providing high-quality music education for all students. Nominated by our local music service, the award reflects the progress we’ve made in supporting musical learning and creating opportunities for all pupils to engage with music. As a Music Mark school, we now have access to additional resources to help us continue building on this success.

Best wishes,

Edwina McDonnell

Headteacher
