Changes to Swimming/PE in the coming weeks

Mr Chidgey will be taking paternity leave in the coming weeks. Therefore, we have made some changes to the sporting timetable to ensure things run smoothly in his absence. Please note the following changes:

Mon 27th April and Mon 11th May: PE as normal for Years 1, 4 and 6. (Mon 4th May is a Bank Holiday.)

Tues 28th April and Tues 5th May:  All children will swim in Years 1, 2, 5 and 6. Please bring swimming kits.

Wed 29th April and Wed 6th May: All children will swim in EYFS and Years 3 and 4. Please bring swimming kits.

Thurs 30th April and Thurs 7th May: PE as normal for EYFS and Years 2, 3 and 5.

After this, it is intended that PE and Swimming will return to normal, with Stingrays swimming on the week commencing Monday 11th May. Thank you for your assistance in ensuring your child has the correct kit.

Reception Class (EYFS) and Year 6 Class photos

These will take place on Friday 15th May. Both classes will have a whole class photo. Year 6 pupils will have individual leaver’s photos taken as well. Please ensure your child comes to school wearing tidy school uniform and ready to shine in their photo!

School Uniform

Wearing school uniform is an important part of maintaining high standards and a sense of pride in our school community. It promotes equality, reduces distractions, and helps pupils feel a sense of belonging. Recently, we have noticed some inconsistency in meeting uniform expectations, and it is important that we work together to address this. As we approach the time of year when many families are purchasing new uniform and footwear for the Summer Term and September, this provides a helpful opportunity to re-establish consistency. We will be sharing our uniform policy alongside this message to support parents in making appropriate choices, particularly as children grow and require new items. Thank you for your support in ensuring all pupils attend school in the correct uniform each day.

School Cleaner

We need a reliable person to help us keep the school clean between the hours of 3.30 – 5.30, term time only. If you are interested or know of anyone who may be interested, please contact the school office for further details. If childcare is a problem, any primary school aged children will be looked after by our After School Club staff for no charge.
